Recycled Watch Part Jewelry by Artist Martha Jo Benson

Watch Part and Recycled Jewelry

The watch parts and remnants of vintage jewelry that I use are from my fatherís jewelry company that was in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, from the early 1930ís through the late 1960ís. After he died I inherited not only many of his hand tools, which I now enjoy using, but hundreds of watch parts and remnants of jewelry. Their shapes, textures and intricate designs have always fascinated me.

Recently I discovered, salvaged and recycled some old micro chips and found that they worked well with my recycled jewelry and provided unique settings for complementary semiprecious stones.
